Over the course of the challenge, learners apply Step 0 in four of the eight essential skills as they consider: ‘How can we welcome and include others?’

They apply Problem Solving and Creativity skills to explore an alien crash site on the school grounds and imagine what the aliens look like. Then, they apply Leadership and Teamwork to welcome the aliens and tell them about our world before saying goodbye to the aliens at the end of the day.
